Sacred Bodywork
The more I travel inward,
Oh, how much clearer it becomes.
I am basking in this love that I am.
I was made to be here, now.
This body was made to be my temple, my home.
To touch the body is Sacred.
To honour the body is Sacred.
Bodywork is an act of being kissed by Spirit.
A Sacred reverence and an ancient remembering. I was made for this remembering.
My body is a Sacred Temple and so is yours, therefore it will be touched and treated as such, with the deepest reverence and loving care.
~ Nicole Newton

Our movement and life force flows with our breath. In my healing practice, my intention is for this life force to gently flow through me with every word, touch, breath, movement and sound; to and for whomever I’m working with with grace and unconditional love (Aloha). I recognise that my body is a Sacred Temple and therefore, so is everyone else’s.

In my practice they will be touched and treated as such, with the deepest reverence and loving care. May I use this gift of touch in a way that creates love in their bodies and their beings and their emotional states. May every body, heart and spirit that I’m honoured to nurture, always be adorned in unconditional love and my unwavering presence.  ❤︎

Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi Massage – 1.5hrs

$190  – allow up to 2hrs which includes 15min pre & post consultation.

Since the beginning of humankind, loved ones have put hands on each other for support. Massage is our oldest form of therapy and it remains to this day one of the most powerful methods of healing.

When was the last time you felt someone deeply honour all of you? Being witnessed and touched with complete presence and reverence. What might this even feel like for you? What if within this experience you could feel safe to surrender and lay down your armour; allowing a transmission of Aloha (unconditional love) to open you up to more aliveness. What would this mean to you to receive such a gift? 🌺

Lomilomi, also known as a ‘Loving Hands Massage’, provides such a gift, an intuitive and heart centred style of bodywork, with its roots in Hawaii and Hawaiian culture. An holistic form of physical therapy, Lomilomi is a whole body massage (excluding the genitals) that aims to connect and bring into balance the spiritual, emotional and physical body, through breath, flow, rhythm and movement.

Dynamic and unique, Lomilomi is unlike any other massage style. Lomilomi isn’t just a massage, it’s a pule (prayer) in motion, an experience, and one I am honoured to give.

When you receive touch from me, you experience a ritual of Aloha (unconditional love). This ritual allows you physical, spiritual and emotional nurturing. Whatever is going on for you in your life, is welcome on the table and I tailor your massage to suit your individual needs. The invitation is to let go, receive and return to equilibrium.

Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi massage takes you on a journey ~ calming your mind, opening your heart and inviting your spirit to be present. Firm yet gentle long flowing strokes up and down the body, under and over the body with a combination of hands, forearms and elbows, gentle stretches of the limbs, careful rotations of the joints, moving from flow to stillness to flow to stillness again. The ease and natural flow of this massage is like the ebb and flow of the sea, the stirrings of the wind, a dance.

The body is kneaded, rocked, pulled, stretched and held. The rhythm and flow, often combined with breath, calms the nervous system, promoting deep relaxation, assisting the release of stored tension/emotions which are held deep in the muscles, bones, tissues and fascia. This is an experience of  deep nurture.

Lomilomi is gentle, nurturing, relaxing and energising, yet the effects are deeply profound. Emotional, mental and spiritual shifts can take place. A deeper connection to your essence can be experienced.

“On a physical level, Lomilomi massage dramatically improves the circulation of body fluids which brings oxygen and nutrients to the cells while removing metabolic wastes, and, like remedial massage, it affects the circulatory, nervous and musculoskeletal systems. It can also increase your awareness of the areas being massaged, which in itself can bring about healing.

In addition, Lomilomi is an excellent way of communicating love and trust. During a massage, you’ll be offered the chance to be totally nurtured and supported, providing an opportunity to let go of the accumulated tensions that are a part of daily life. By releasing chronically held physical tension, the corresponding emotional component can surface and be released. In doing this, a space inside you is encouraged to open for transformation on a spiritual level.” ~ Charlie Snow – The Blisstitute of Living Aloha

The Hawaiian way emphasises how important it is to know your lineage; not just your personal ancestors but also those you have learned from.  My teacher, Charlie Snow (Nani Ke Aloha) of The Blisstitute of Living Aloha teaches Lomilomi with permission from Papa K (1929 – 2008), a Big Island Lomilomi master who comes from a long line of healing kahuna (specialised expert). Papa K also named The Blisstitute’s foundation course as ‘Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi Massage’ training.

Charlie has had the honour of learning Lomilomi in Hawai’i from Papa K as well as from Kumu Lomilomi Alva James Andrews, Aunty Maile Spencer Napoleon, Aunty Mary Fragas and Kumu Brenda Mohalapua Ignacio. Every massage I give, honours this lineage and the Aloha (unconditional love) spirit that underpins it all.

gold quote

After several years of challenges, I had completely disconnected from my sense of self and was simply functioning on autopilot. It was time to regain that connection, but when it came to my body I was frightened at the thought. I shared this with Nicole. Her instinct and compassion immediately placed me at ease. I felt safely wrapped in a cocoon of love for the 2 hours I was in her care. It was an experience, not just a beautiful massage, I struggle to put into words except to say I'm so grateful I chose to trust Nicole. - Carol

I've had two wonderful massages at Mana Flow. Nicole's intuitive touch relaxed my body and healed my soul. I'll definitely be getting more treatments in the future. - Mark
